School Closings
Early Release Conference Days - Please note that Wednesdays, March 17th and 24th are early release days. All children will be dismissed at 12:15. Please remember to send a lunch as there is no cafeteria service on those days.
Welcome to March! Time is flying by and spring is only 20 days away! Although March is a long month it will pass quickly as we work hard on the final preparations for the show. You will be receiving a notice with some final show info soon. It will include the full show dress rehearsal schedule and other important info. Please also try to make sure your children are here for their entire rehearsals so they may be as productive as possible. Thank you!
Show Dates
Don’t forget the show dates are Thursday, April 8th at 6:00 PM and Friday, April 9th at 1:45.
Show Help
We are still in search of anyone who can do some costume hemming and we also desperately need someone to video tape the evening performance. If you or someone you know can help, please see
Mrs. Culkins. We are extremely lucky to have parents Bill Thompson and Bob Foley volunteer to help with the rehearsals and performances. With a downsized staff this year any help is so greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Staff News
By now you may have realized that we have had another changed to the staff. Mrs. Leto left HED for a full time job and we are pleased to announce that we have replaced her with Kevin Murray. Mr. Murray works M-F and we are very happy to have him as part of our team!
Project Themes
The themes for March are: In Like a Lion, About Asia, Go Green, Spring is in the Air and Out Like a Lamb. As always you can view the project calendar on the web site.
Board of Director’s Meeting
The first meeting of the HED board for the new school year is scheduled for Monday, March 15th at 6:15 PM. Please see Mrs. Culkins for more information.
It’s Tax Time
Please note that the tax ID number for HED is printed on the top left of your tuition bills.
Updating Emergency Info
It is extremely important that any time your emergency info changes (ie: work/cell numbers) we get the changes in a timely manner. Thank you.
Empty Ink Cartridges
Staples will pay HED $3.00 per empty, name brand ink cartridges up to 20 per month. Please consider donating yours to HED. Thanks!!
Extra Snacks
We are finding that many children get very hungry towards the end of the day. You may want to consider sending a small late day snack as we can not always give an extra snack when children request food.

Late day snacks
With the school day starting earlier, lunch and snack
time is now earlier. We are finding that by the end of the day, many
kids are getting hungry. You want to consider adding a late day snack
to your child’s lunch box.
*Reminder*
HED
will strive to provide a peanut free environment at all times as much
as possible. If you send in lunches or snacks that contain peanut butter
or other nut products, please remind them they must let a teacher know.
We hope to limit contamination of surfaces, supplies, games etc.

note: We highly discourage any sharing of food.
